Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic – The Police – Cover: Dani Poppitt

Most of these reimagined covers begin with a compelling title that could easily be used in a commercial or fit the theme of a movie trailer, and this iconic Police song is a perfect example. I set out to create a softer, more ambient version using just piano, live cello, and viola, and from the very start, we agreed that a female vocal would be essential.

My co-producer, Redah Haddioui, introduced me to a couple of tracks he had worked on with the talented Dani Poppitt, and I immediately recognized that Dani’s voice had the perfect sound and timbre for this cover.

We recorded the vocals, cello, and viola at WAX LTD Studios, and shortly after, we filmed the video.
